Memento Mori – Framed Matte Print

RM 173.50

A meditation on mortality through the lens of the Craft.

Memento Mori is a solemn and powerful still life, inspired by 17th-century vanitas paintings and enriched with Masonic symbolism. A human skull rests atop an aged Masonic Bible, flanked by a square and compasses — part in shadow, part in light. A lone candle casts its glow from behind, illuminating the scene with a quiet reverence.

The composition speaks to the transience of life and the enduring call to reflect, act justly, and walk uprightly. It is a moment frozen in contemplation — a reminder that even the wisest and highest among us are bound by time.

Printed on museum-quality matte paper using water-based inks, and framed in eco-conscious Ayous wood, this 0.75” thick piece is as enduring as the message it carries.
